There will be an index increase to the adult education allowance, as of 1 August 2022. From the beginning of August, the basic component of the allowance will increase from the current EUR 28.51 to EUR 29.52 per day. Therefore, on a monthly basis, the amount of the basic component during rest of the year will be approximately 634.68 (EUR 612.97 per month until July 31 2022).
The amount of the allowance will also be affected by the TYEL deduction that is made from the applicant’s monthly earnings, which corresponds with the employee’s earnings-related pension and unemployment insurance contributions, as well with the daily allowance payment for the health insurance. In 2022, the amount of the TyEL deduction is 4.29%.
